Tours from Madrid to Lourdes

Why not taking the opportunity of your visit to the Spanish capital city to spend a few days in Lourdes (and the Pyrenees)? It is not that complicated to schedule a visit to Lourdes while travelling to Madrid. Many of our guests take advantage of their visit to Madrid to book a getaway to Lourdes.

We will be happy to assist you with planning your visit to one of the world’s most popular catholic places of pilgrimage departing from Madrid. Here are our suggestions on how to travel from Madrid to Lourdes.

You can first travel by train. There are daily trains running from Madrid Chamartín to Irún (Spain) or even Hendaya (France). We could meet you at the Irún train station (or even the Hendaya train station, whenever possible – meeting at Hendaya is more convenient) and take you to your hotel in Lourdes (two-hour drive). You can check the timetable and train fares on www.renfe.com

You can also travel by plane from Madrid Barajas to Toulouse (France), or Madrid Barajas to Biarritz (France), or even Madrid Barajas to San Sebastián (Spain). There are daily flights operated by Iberia, Air Nostrum and Ryanair going to these airports. We could pick you up at one these airports and drive you to your hotel in Lourdes (1h45min/two-hour drive).

We would be happy to arrange your pick up at the train station or airport you’ll get to and then take you to Lourdes. Apart from arranging this private transfer, we could also take you on a private tour of Lourdes for helping you to discover the Sanctuary and giving you the tips on how to make the most of your time in town.
