In the foosteps of the
giants of the Tour
de France

On our way for a tour in the heart of the story of The Tour de France legends. The passes of Aubisque, Soulor, Tourmalet, Aspin and Peyresourde… So many names suggestive of sporting achievements, we invite you to discover. Your climb of these giants of the Tour will certainly be much more comfortable than if you do it by bike! But don’t worry the fun and the pleasure of discovering will remain intact.

After a departure from Lourdes, our loop will begin with the pass of Aubisque which rises to 1.709 meters. In its descending part, we will take the breathtaking cliff road that offers magnificent views, before reaching the Pass of Soulor (1.474 meters), its rapid descent on the Val d’Azun and its charming and preserved pyrenean villages. Arrived in Argelès-Gazost, famous charming spa town, located in the heart of the Gaves Valley, we will take the direction of the legendary pass of the Tourmalet, which is annually among the traditional and major climbs of the Tour. We will start climbing the Tourmalet, in the charming village of Luz-Saint-Sauveur, to pass then through Barèges. Once reaching the 2.115 meters of altitude, we will be descending to the Campan valley, crossing the ski resort of La Mongie, the starting point to reach the unique Pic du Midi de Bigorre. At Sainte-Marie de Campan, we will begin the rise of the green pass of Aspin (1.489 meters), colonized by a magnificent pine forest. Its descent will take us to Arreau, before tackling the final climb of the trip to the colours of cycling, the pass of Peyresourde (1.569 meters), whose descent will lead us to the “Queen of the Pyrenees”, the spa town of Luchon.
